- You need 4 of eggs.
- You need 3 cups of grated carrot.
- It’s 1.5 cup of all-purpose flour.
- It’s 1/2 cup of cocoa powder.

- Prepare 1.5 tsp of baking powder.
- You need 1.5 tsp of baking soda.
- Prepare 1/2 tsp of salt.
- You need 2 tsp of cinnamon powder.
- You need 1and 1/4 cup of vegetable oil.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of chopped nuts.
- You need 2 tsp of vanilla essence.
Chocolate Carrot Cake step by step
- Seive together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and cinnamon powder..
- Grind the sugar and make powder, keep aside..
- Beat the eggs with salt..
- Add the vanilla essence and whisk again for about 3 minutes..
- Now goes the powdered sugar and mix well for about 5 minutes.
- Add the vegetable oil and mix for a minute.
- Add the flour mixture and mix it by gently folding.
- Add the carrots and nuts and fold again.
- Transfer to a greased tin.
- Bake for 40 minutes at 180°.
- Do a knife check when done..
- Cool it before serving..
- I added a layer of sugar glaze on top of the cake by mixing 2tbsp sugar with 1/2tsp water (optional).
