  1. Preheat the oven to gas mark 5 (190C) and line a tin with grease proof paper.
  2. Whisk the eggs, sugar and vanilla extract until fluffy and light.
  3. Sift the flour and fold into the mixture.
  4. Pour into the tin and bake for 15min.
  5. Leave the cake to cool on a wire rack and cut into rectangles.
