  2. Grease 2 tins 7inch.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar until light and creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time until combined.
  5. Sieve in the flour and baking powder and fold in to the mixture.
  6. Divide the mix between the two tins leveling with a knife.
  7. Place in the oven for 15 mins or until golden.
  8. Allow to cool on wire rack, spread jam in middle and sandwich together and sieve icing sugar over top.
