Neapolitan Layer Cake step by step
- MAKE CAKES..
- For all three cakes, preheat oven to 350. Spray 6 – 8 inch cake pans with baking spray.
- MAKE CHOCOLATE CAKE.
- In a bowl whisk flour. Cocoa powder, baking sofa, baking powder and salt.
- In a large bowl best sugar oil and egg until combined add 1/2 of flour mixture and stir until just combined.
- Add coffee, buttermilk and vanilla. Then add remaing flour mixture and beat just until smooth.
- Divide between 2 of the prepared cake pans and bake about 15 to 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out just clean Cool 20inutes in pan before removing to cool completely.
- MAKE VANILLA CAKE.
- In a bowl whisk together flour ,baking powder and salt.
- In a large bowl beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- In another large bowl beat butter and sugar,until light and fluffy. Beat in half the flour mixture, stir in milk, and vanilla, add remaining flour mixture and stir just until blended.
- Fold 1/3 of egg whites into batter, then add remaining folding in 2 more additions. Pour into 2 prepared pans and bake 12 to 19 minutes until a toothpick just comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan before removing from pans to cool completely.
- MAKE STRAWBERRY CAKE.
- In a bowl whisk together, flour, baling powder and salt.
- In a large bowl beat sugar, jello powder and butter until light , beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
- Alternate flour mixture with milk and vanilla stirring just until combined, fold in strawberry puree until uniform in color. Pour into remain in 2 pans. Bake 18 to 25 MI utes u til a toothpick comes out jut clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan the cool completely.
- ASSEMBLE CAKE.
