Ingredients of Margaret's Pound Cake
- It’s 5 of eggs.
- It’s 1 cup of Milk.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of Shortening.
- It’s 2 stick of Butter softened.
- Prepare 3 cup of All Purpose Flour.
- Prepare 3 cup of Sugar.
- Prepare 1 dash of of salt.
- It’s 2 tbsp of Vanilla extract.
- You need 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder.
Margaret's Pound Cake instructions
- Preheat oven to 325..
- Cream the butter, shortening and sugar.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add vanilla extract. ( You can use any extract flavor you like. I've used lemon and almond and they taste great!).
- In a separate bowl combine the flour, salt and baking powder, mix well.
- Alternately with the milk, add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, and mix well after each addition.
- Pour into a greased and floured bundt or tube pan and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
